Bobby Jones is a best-selling author, renowned speaker, conscious capitalism expert, and businessman on an inspiring mission to show individuals and companies worldwide how to be forces for good. At the height of his career as a marketing executive, Bobby experienced a lack of meaningfulness in his life. He often wondered if his work was making any real difference in the world and searched for a way to pay the bills while doing work with a higher purpose. He knew he was not alone. Many of his colleagues working in agencies, brands, and culture felt a similar void in their work lives.

 With a burning desire to live a more fulfilling life, Bobby went on a self-discovery journey to find his purpose in life. The Story of The Two Wolves inspired him. He realized that in a culture that seemed to be feeding people's divisiveness, greed, and disregard for others, and our planet, he wanted to use his talents to show people in business and culture how to find purpose as powerful forces for good. This clarity of purpose led to his first book Good is the New Cool: Market Like You Give a Damn (co-authored with Afdhel Aziz), a bold manifesto and how-to-guide to do well by doing good, which became a best seller. 

Since then, Bobby has helped ignite and serve a global movement using culture and commerce to create a better world. His work has helped people in over 147 counties to develop solutions to global challenges. His talks, consultations, and workshops have provided some of the biggest companies, NGOs, and celebrities with the tools to unlock their purpose and grow their businesses and brands by serving others.

Q1: What is the main message you want to share with the world? 

That purpose is the key to unleashing business and culture as forces for good. We all have that power, you don't have to wait. Start now with what you have, we have all we need to be the change we want to create. 


Q2: What has been the key insight during your career as a marketer, consultant, author and entrepreneur?

It is the fact that behind all successful companies and brands are great people - people driven to do amazing work and do good. When people make purpose a priority, the business thrives. Purpose not only makes the world, our communities, our planet better, it also leads to move innovation, talent retention, profitability and shareholder return growth. I’ve loved seeing this dynamic at play at hundreds of leading companies around the world and it never seizes to amaze and motivate me.

Q3: In your opinion, why is purpose in the context of business so powerful?

Purpose is the reason why you exist, the thing that inspires action among all of your stakeholders towards a greater good that profit helps you achieve. Over the last decade, the world has fundamentally changed – employees want more meaning in their work, customers want to buy from brands that align with their values. Let me give you 4 key statistics:
